Gateway of India, built in 1911 during the times when British ruled India marked the entry of important governors and viceroys during those times. The last troops to exit from India after the end of British rule was from Gateway. This beautifully built piece of architecture is a famous attraction for visitors and is called The Taj Mahal of Mumbai. India Gate in New Delhi s built similar to the Gateway of India. It is adjacent to Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel.
Built across the ocean, there are several ferries that operate from Gateway. Ferries from there take visitors to and fro Elephanta caves.
Gateway of India, flaunts decorative lighting and breathtaking sea-view on the backdrop. We recommend to check-in here particularly after the Sun sets as you will feel blessed with the peacefulness of the ambiance, chilled sea-breeze and a sense of privacy. Another reason for the suggestion is the absence of the typical crowd density which somewhere kills the vibe.
