Mumbai is India’s First WiFi City: Biggest Public WiFi Service Launched with 500 WiFi hotspots


India’s Biggest Free Public WiFi service launched with 500 WiFi hotspots in Mumbai.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Launched Phase 1 of India’s largest public WiFi service in Mumbai with 500 WiFi hotspots at various locations of the city.

He also said that 1200 WiFi hotspots will go live by May 1, as committed. “Meanwhile we will also monitor the progress on connectivity & speed,” he added.

Mr Fadnavis  said that all major areas in Mumbai will be having WiFi for public use. At the moment, all key stations in Mumbai including Mumbai Central, Churchgate, Bandra terminus, Dadar offer WiFi facility. Other locations where everyone will be accessing WiFi will be Gateway of India, Kala Ghoda, Marine Drive and Fashion Street.
