Mumbai CST Station illuminating in Tri-Color for Republic Day Celebrations
Just like every year, CST illuminated in tricolour lights to celebrate the 68th Republic Day of India. It’s a new type of lighting called ‘RGB colour changing LED lights’ which is a software controlled kind of lighting and the intensity of each light can be changed or mixed to create any colour and any pattern out of it.
The Central Railway (CR) lights up the iconic building on special days for celebrations and festivals. “On Breast Cancer Day and Girl Child Day, we had put up pink lights, projecting the image of France national flag we had put up their national flag colours lights when they were attacks on France, on Diwali we had a special kind of lamps, on EID we had lit up CST with bright green lights and during Christmas it was red and white lights. Recently, for a UNESCO activity for its world heritage monuments we had lit up CST with orange light” speaking with Mirror, Narendra Patil, Chief Public Relations Officer, Central Railway, Mumbai had said earlier.
He also informed that for the upcoming Holi festival CST will be lit up in flash of colours. “We are doing this activity whenever there are world events.”
Also, just like every year the flag hoisting ceremony and Republic Day celebrations will be hosted at CST world heritage building headquarters tomorrow morning.
