Do you know? Haji Ali Dargah located on an islet off the coast cannot be reached during monsoon(high tide)
Haji Ali Dargah built over the tomb of the saint Haji Ali in 1431, is situated 500 yards into the sea and connected by a narrow land of strip to the mainland.
During high tide, the mosque appears to be floating in the sea as the narrow pathway leading to Dargah is submerged. It still gives a majestic look to the mosque giving an impression of a floating structure in the ocean and a beauty not be missed during monsoon season in Mumbai.
